Most Foreign Currencies Rise, Australian Dollar Slightly Down

Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official foreign currency exchange rates for today, Tuesday. Most major currencies—including the US dollar, euro, British pound, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar—have increased in value compared to yesterday. However, a few currencies like the Australian dollar have become slightly cheaper. The US dollar is now being bought at 137 rupees 07 paisa and sold at 137 rupees 67 paisa, which is higher than yesterday’s rates of 136 rupees 34 paisa (buying) and 136 rupees 94 paisa (selling). Similarly, the euro has also risen, with today’s buying rate at 160 rupees 73 paisa and selling rate at 161 rupees 43 paisa, up from yesterday’s 160 rupees 59 paisa and 161 rupees 30 paisa. The British pound has seen a small increase as well, with today’s buying rate at 186 rupees 58 paisa and selling rate at 187 rupees 40 paisa, compared to yesterday’s 186 rupees 15 paisa and 186 rupees 97 paisa. On the other hand, the Australian dollar has slightly dropped in value, with today’s buying rate at 89 rupees 10 paisa and selling rate at 89 rupees 49 paisa, down from 89 rupees 34 paisa and 89 rupees 74 paisa yesterday. The Kuwaiti dinar continues to strengthen, now being bought at 448 rupees 88 paisa and sold at 450 rupees 84 paisa, compared to 447 rupees 16 paisa and 449 rupees 13 paisa the day before. Similarly, the Bahraini dinar has also appreciated, with today’s buying rate at 363 rupees 61 paisa and selling rate at 365 rupees 20 paisa, up from 361 rupees 64 paisa and 363 rupees 24 paisa yesterday.
