Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has highlighted the important role of the private sector in driving the growth of Nepal’s tourism industry.
Speaking at a meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR), Minister Pandey shared that the Ministry has already conducted two meetings aimed at fostering collaboration across all levels of government for tourism development.
He further mentioned that preparations are underway for broader discussions to address key issues in the sector, including challenges related to airline services and the regular operation of Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports.
The Minister also informed the committee that the drafting of the tourism culture policy is nearing completion, while the Civil Aviation Bill has been approved by the Council of Ministers.
