Nepal's Foreign Minister Arzu Rana met with Japan’s Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi in Tokyo on Thursday. Minister Rana is currently on an official visit to Japan.


The meeting took place at Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the talks, both ministers discussed various topics related to Nepal-Japan bilateral relations, mutual interests, and common concerns, according to the Foreign Minister’s Secretariat.


Minister Rana thanked the Japanese government and people for their long-standing support in Nepal’s economic and social development.


They also discussed the 70-year-long history of diplomatic relations between the two countries. 


On the occasion, Minister Rana invited the Japanese Foreign Minister to visit Nepal for the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year. 


She also encouraged Japanese investors and businesspeople to invest in Nepal, highlighting the investment opportunities available in the country. She assured that the Government of Nepal is committed to protecting and supporting foreign investment.
