CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Lekhnath Dahal has sharply criticized the government, saying it has spent the past year surrounded by doubts, confusion, and growing public concern. Speaking in Tuesday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, he claimed that the current coalition between UML and Nepali Congress was formed under the pressure of mafias, not for the good of the people.

Dahal said that most of the government’s decisions over the last year have led to disputes and raised serious questions. He also pointed out the government’s slow and careless response to recent floods and landslides. He called on the government to actively search for missing people and provide quick and proper relief to those affected by the disasters.

He further raised concerns about the ongoing protests in Parliament by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). He urged the Speaker to bring everyone on board and ensure that Parliament runs smoothly.

Dahal also mentioned the bribery audio scandal involving government officials. While one minister has already resigned, he demanded that another minister named in the audio also be investigated fairly. He said the rule of law must apply equally to everyone.
