The CPN (Maoist Centre) has concluded that the results of the recent by-elections have rejected the advocacy for a two-party system, asserting that the outcome rejects the idea of a two-party political landscape. This conclusion was drawn during a meeting of the party's central committee.
Vice-President and Spokesperson Agni Sapkota said, “The result of the by-election has shattered the thinking that was leaning towards a two-party system.” The Maoist Centre further emphasized that the increase in seats for their candidates in the by-elections was a clear endorsement of the government’s efforts under the leadership of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.
Sapkota added that the by-election results have created significant pressure on the government, presenting a direct challenge to its policies.
The party also concluded that the outcome of the by-elections sends a clear message to its leaders and workers, urging them to reconnect with the people and focus on addressing their concerns.
