Maoist Center Chair Prachanda Vows to Make Party Nepal’s Leading Force Again

Chairperson of the Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has said he is committed to making the Maoist Center the top political party in Nepal once again by uniting all groups within the party.

“We were the number one party in the 2064 BS elections, even though we couldn’t maintain that position. Now, we are determined to reach that level again by ensuring good governance, prosperity, social justice, and moving forward on the path of socialism, as the people want,” he said.

Prachanda also talked about the formation of a socialist alliance that includes the Biplav-led CPN, the Madhav Nepal-led CPN Unified Socialist, and the Mahendra Raya-led Nepal Samajwadi Party. He added that more discussions are taking place to bring in additional unity.

Speaking at a recent event, Prachanda said the Maoist Center is actively working for good governance, social justice, and prosperity. He explained that the party is trying to reconnect with the people by correcting past mistakes and moving the socialist revolution to the next phase.

Several leaders and members from the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), including Karnali Province President Devi Krishna Neupane, have joined the Maoist Center after leaving the party led by Ashok Rai.

At a special program held at his residence in Khumaltar, Prachanda welcomed the new members to the party.

He said the arrival of these new members would bring fresh energy and excitement to the Maoist Center’s campaign.

Prachanda also mentioned that the party is becoming more attractive to political activists and promised that those who join will be given meaningful roles.
