A delegation from the Malaysia–Nepal Business Council met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to discuss investment opportunities in Nepal.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar. The 20-member delegation was led by Pradeep Kumar Kukreja, Executive Chairman of Paradise Group Malaysia. They said they came to understand Nepal’s business environment and to explore opportunities for launching new ventures that can strengthen business ties between the two countries.

Prime Minister Oli informed the delegation that the government is making legal and structural reforms to encourage and support foreign investment. He added that the government is always ready to work with businesses to understand what improvements and support are needed in the future.

The delegation expressed interest in investing in areas such as plastic waste processing, information technology parks, and tourism. They also discussed the potential for investment in other sectors like agriculture, manpower, textiles, and more.

The delegation arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday for a three-day visit, organized in coordination with the Nepali Embassy in Malaysia.
