On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, visiting ascetics, including Naga Babas, were bid farewell with offerings and donations at Pashupatinath Temple. The Guthi Sansthan and the Pashupati Area Development Trust organized the distribution of donations. The institutions had allocated a budget of approximately NPR 30 lakh for the farewell.
On the day of their visit, colored cards in red, blue, white, yellow, and green were distributed to the ascetics for donation purposes. According to the system, ascetics holding red cards received NPR 11,000, orange cards NPR 6,000, blue cards NPR 4,000, yellow cards NPR 2,500, green cards NPR 1,100, pink cards NPR 551, and white cards NPR 200.
