KMC Bans Road and Footpath Excavation During Monsoon

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has announced that no road or footpath digging will be allowed during the monsoon season. The ban will be in place from June 15 to September 16.

KMC’s Public Construction Department issued a notice saying that the decision was made to avoid problems like mud, dust, and unsafe walking conditions caused by construction work during the rainy season. The notice clearly states that no individual, organization, or agency will get permission to dig public roads or footpaths during this time.

KMC has also asked everyone to follow this rule and not to carry out any unauthorized excavation work. The city hopes this step will help reduce inconvenience for the public during the monsoon.
