The Ashok Rai-led Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has started its first Federal Council meeting from today in Lalitpur. The meeting will run for two days, today and tomorrow. Party leader Durga Subedi informed that this is the first such meeting since the formation of the party.
During the meeting, Federal Council Chairman Rajendra Prasad Shrestha will present a proposal related to the party’s policies, principles, and ideological direction. This proposal is expected to guide the party’s future plans and activities.
Similarly, Vice Chairman Randhwaj Kandangwa will present a proposal to make some changes to the party’s statute.
According to Subedi, about 413 representatives will participate in the meeting. These include members of the Central Committee, provincial and district leaders, national committee members, leaders of people’s organizations, and other nominated members of the Federal Council.
