Israel-Iran Conflict Escalates: Hundreds Dead, No Sign of Peace

The fight between Israel and Iran is getting more serious, as leaders from both countries have warned of more attacks in the coming days.

Israel recently attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities, military bases, and crowded areas last Friday. In response, Iran has been launching drones and ballistic missiles at Israel.

According to BBC, the head of Iran’s armed forces intelligence unit was killed in an Israeli attack yesterday.

After Iran’s counterattacks, more than 10 Israelis have been injured. Although some meetings and discussions are happening to stop the conflict, Iran has said that it will not join peace talks while the attacks are still going on.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that his main goal is to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, rather than calming the situation.

Iran’s Health Ministry has reported that since Friday, at least 224 Iranians have been killed by Israeli attacks, while at least 10 Israelis have died from Iran’s attacks.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has said that America might get involved in the conflict between Iran and Israel. He also said that Russian President Vladimir Putin could help in peace talks. President Trump added that talks are going on about Iran’s nuclear program, but for now, the U.S. is not taking military action
