With the investment of IME Group, the service of the cable car named Pathivara Devi Mukumlung Darshan Cable Car is being started to construct at the religious site, Pathivara Devi Temple, located in Taplejung. Indra Kedem, the head of Himalaya Construction, says that the construction of the cable car is being started from the bottom station. According to Kedem. The project is being carried out with the support and coordination of local political parties, representatives, government agencies, and security forces.
The operator of the cable car company, Rudra Poudel, mentioned that once this project is completed, it will enhance the economic, social, and cultural development of Taplejung district. As a consequence, it will help to stabilize the economy of the entire Koshi Province. He also stated that, within 15 months, the cable car will be successfully constructed, making it easier for people, including the elderly, children, and those with disabilities, to visit Pathivara Devi.
Furthermore, Rudra Poudel confidently says that the Pathivara cable car will be an example for boosting tourism, creating jobs, promoting environmental balance, and even ensuring social and economic stability. The company also believes that once the project is completed, the number of visitors to Pathivara Devi Temple might reach up to 10 lakhs. This means that the convenience of the cable car will make it easier for devotees to visit the temple, which will significantly increase the number of visitors.
In addition, the cable car project will help establish Taplejung as a world-class tourist destination with safe, sustainable, and high-quality services. The Pathivara Devi Mukumlung Darshan Cable Car is being managed and operated by IME Group, which has over a decade and a half of experience in building and operating cable cars. Meanwhile, the construction of the Maulakali cable car in Nawalpur and the Lumbini cable car in Butwal has been completed, and both have already started their operations.
