The Trump administration in the US has stopped Harvard University from enrolling international students.
According to the BBC, the government has canceled Harvard’s permission to admit foreign students because the university did not follow certain government policies. As a result, Harvard is now not allowed to accept new international students.
The US Department of Homeland Security also said that students transferring from one university to another must now prove they are not immigrants.
This decision has made the ongoing conflict between Harvard and the Trump administration even more serious. The administration had also asked Harvard to stop anti-Jewish activities and to make changes in its campus programs, policies, hiring, and admissions systems.
