Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badrī Pandey, has said the government wants to move forward in partnership with the private sector.

Speaking at a program held at the ministry on Monday, Minister Pandey officially released the new "Tourism Policy 2082" and encouraged the private sector to work with confidence. He said the government is ready to coordinate, and that only with the active involvement of the private sector can positive results be achieved.

Minister Pandey also said the ministry is working on implementing federalism, as outlined in the Constitution of 2072. He shared that the Culture Policy and Aviation Policy are currently being discussed at the Cabinet’s Bill Division, and 13 bills have already been moved forward by the ministry.

The new Tourism Policy 2082 replaces the earlier policy from 2065. It introduces the phrase "Unique Tourism Destination: Nepal" as a central part of its vision.

Minister Pandey said, “This policy aims to develop Nepal as an attractive, lifelong, safe, reliable, and sustainable destination. It will also contribute positively to the national economy.”
