Government to Complete Gautam Buddha Cricket Stadium, Says PM Oli

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government will now take over and finish construction of the Gautam Buddha Cricket Stadium in Chitwan.

He made this announcement during an online event from Baluwatar, where he was opening a new film studio in Bhainsepati, Banepa municipality–10. Oli shared how comedians-turned-social workers Dhurmus and Suntali had come to him with the idea of building the stadium using donations from the public.

“They told me they wanted to build the stadium in Chitwan,” Oli said. “But I advised them not to do it. I warned them that it would be very challenging.”

Even though he warned them, the couple went ahead and started the project by raising funds. “They still chose to move forward, and now they are facing many problems,” Oli added. “But the stadium will be built. The government will ensure its completion.”
