Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the long-awaited School Education Bill will be introduced and passed very soon. Speaking in the House of Representatives during discussions on the national budget, Prime Minister Oli assured that the government is fully committed to bringing this bill into action without further delay.
He stressed that the country’s development won’t stop whether teachers speak up or remain silent. “The School Education Bill is coming soon. It will be passed soon. The same goes for the civil service law,” Oli said, pointing to the government’s broader focus on reforming both education and public administration.
Responding to concerns raised by lawmakers, the Prime Minister also said that the government is working to address the problems faced by teachers, civil servants, professors, and students. He claimed that efforts are being made to strengthen the education system and solve the issues troubling those involved in the sector.
The bill is currently under discussion at the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee in the House of Representatives. It is now in the final stages of approval. Lawmakers are preparing to present it in the House before Asar 15 (June 29), with hopes of getting it passed soon.
