Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said that new laws related to school education and civil service will be introduced in the current budget session of the parliament.
Speaking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport on Friday morning, Minister Gurung said preparations are underway to bring important reforms in both sectors.
Commenting on the case filed against former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and others, he clarified that it was a regular process carried out by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA). “The CIAA is an independent body that also keeps an eye on the government,” he said.
On the issue of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Gurung claimed that the opposition is targeting him out of political revenge. He firmly stated that there is no need for Lekhak to resign.
