Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba emphasized the need to share the achievements of party leaders with the public.
He said this on Saturday while speaking at the first memorial service for the late Khagendra Raj Regmi, a former leader of the Nepali Congress, former Syangja district president, and Member of Parliament.
During the event in Kathmandu, Deuba said it is important to let people know about the work party leaders have done for the country. He also called for everyone to come together to finish the tasks that these leaders started. Deuba remembered Regmi as a dedicated and loyal member of the party.
At the same event, Nepali Congress Vice President Dhanraj Gurung said that those in politics should not expect quick rewards. He described politics as a path that requires sacrifice and constant hard work. He spoke about the many challenges Deuba has faced in his career and said people should not hold any grudges about Deuba becoming Prime Minister five times.
Other leaders from the party also said it’s important to honor past leaders and continue their work to move the country forward.
