The Department of Passports will start issuing passports within two working days. So far, 396,000 passports have already been printed.

Passports will be provided first to people who need them urgently. Earlier, the Department arranged 700,000 passport booklets to manage demand during the interim period.

With the arrival of the required booklets, passport issuance has resumed at full capacity. The Department is now printing and personalizing passports at full speed and supplying them to district administration offices, area administration offices, and Nepali missions abroad.

Applicants who applied by December 1 will receive their passports by December 30. Those who applied after that date will be served gradually.

The availability of passport booklets for the interim period will help ensure smooth and uninterrupted passport distribution.
