Kathmandu – The CPN-UML has completed the nationwide selection of delegates for its 11th General Convention, with around 2,200 representatives chosen on Sunday through a largely peaceful process.
Rajendra Gautam, head of the party’s publicity department, stated that most local committees finalized their delegate lists, with many opting for consensus while a few conducted internal votes. Remaining selections that were stalled will also be completed via voting.
Under party guidelines, each constituency will send four delegates, representing open, women, and youth categories. Committees are required to submit the finalized delegate lists to the central office by Mangsir 15.
The stage is now set for the party’s convention to shape its future leadership and policies.
