The ruling CPN-UML party has issued a directive asking its members to attend and vote in favor of the government's policies and programs.
On Friday, the Chief Whip of UML, Mahesh Kumar Bartaula, issued the instruction, stressing that all members must be present and vote in support of the policies and programs, which will be decided on Sunday.
The UML explained in the directive, “The President presented the government’s annual policy and program for the fiscal year 2082-83 during a joint meeting of both houses of Parliament. Since these policies and programs are set to be decided in the House of Representatives on May 11, this instruction is given to ensure all UML members are present and vote in favor.”
