The Politburo meeting of the CPN-UML is being held again today, as decided in Friday’s session, which set the next meeting for 11 AM. According to Rajendra Gautam, head of the party’s Publicity Department, Friday’s meeting took place at the UML Central Office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, and was led by party Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, with eight members present. The meeting focused on discussing reports to be presented at the party’s upcoming general convention. A day earlier, in a Secretariat meeting, key reports were approved: the political report by Chairman Oli, a statute amendment report by Vice President Bishnu Prasad Paudel, and the organizational report by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel. These reports will be reviewed by the Politburo before being finalized at the Central Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, July 21. The second statutory general convention of the UML will be held in Godavari, Lalitpur, on September 5, 6, and 7.
