CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that the current government is working hard on economic development and infrastructure.

Pokharel, speaking at a press conference organized by Dang branch of Press Chautari Nepal, said the ruling coalition of the Nepali Congress and the UML is trying to improve the lives of people by boosting the economy and ending public frustration. According to Pokharel, this government will continue until 2028 elections as long if there is no misunderstanding among the coalition partners.

Pokharel said the national is "getting stronger and revenue collection is increasing because of the government’s good policies and plans". He also said that  negative comments against the government are not based on facts.

He shared that many development projects are starting in Dang. A tender has been called for the construction of a four-lane road between Ghorahi and Tulsipur, and work will begin soon. The government is also planning to develop an alternative road between Lamahi and Ghorahi.

He added that Tarigaun Airport in Dang will be expanded. There are also plans for drinking water and irrigation projects. A detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared soon for an industrial area in Dang, and discussions are ongoing for building a fuel depot.

At the event chaired by Sudhasuman Dhakal, president of Press Chautari Nepal Dang, Vice-president Bimal Yogi gave the welcome speech and Secretary Nimusangam Gharti conducted the program.
