The central committee meeting of the main opposition party, the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center), has passed a 16-points proposal.
The meeting, which began earlier, passed various proposals, including those presented by party president Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' on political, organizational, and current issues. More than a hundred members spoke on the proposal, and after its approval, the meeting was concluded.
The meeting concluded that the government has intervened in public institutions such as the Nepal Electricity Authority and Tribhuvan University, as well as the bureaucracy.
They also expressed concern about the government's indifference in governance and public service delivery. The Maoists have urged the government to effectively control corruption, ensure good governance, and improve service delivery
