Chinese Envoy Meets PM Karki, Pledges Continued Support

Chinese Ambassador Chen Song held his first official meeting with Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Thursday at the Prime Minister’s Office.

During the talks, Ambassador Song reiterated Beijing’s readiness to assist Nepal, stressing that China respects the aspirations of the Nepali people and remains committed to supporting the interim government.

“We respect the wishes of the Nepali people and will continue to provide support in the days ahead,” he said, adding that China is prepared to extend any assistance the government requires.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting marked the envoy’s first formal engagement with Prime Minister Karki since the interim government was formed.
