Biplav advised PM not to halt the implementation of BRI

Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand "Biplav" met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Biplav, accompanied by party spokesperson Khadka Bahadur Bishwakarma "Prakanda," raised concerns about Prime Minister’s visit to China scheduled for December 17. Both leaders advised Prime Minister Oli not to halt the implementation of projects like the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) despite the ongoing protests in Nepal. They emphasized that the protests should not obstruct the progress of such initiatives.They advised Oli to make decisions with the national interest in mind. After the meeting, leader Prakanda stated that they suggested Oli not to backtrack on advancing projects like the BRI after going to China.
