Nepali Congress Co-Vice President Bhimraj Angdembe has emphasized that a regular general convention is crucial to resolve all internal party disputes. Speaking at the Central Committee meeting on Thursday, he stated that the regular convention should serve as a shared point of consensus for all members.

He added that the party must prepare for elections if they take place, and if not, it should be ready for a movement. “If elections happen, we must be ready. If not, we must prepare for a movement. Whether the timing is favourable or not, I don’t know. But when we go for a movement tomorrow, it will be linked to the reinstatement of Parliament,” he said.

Angdembe also stressed that all major decisions should be finalized by the Central Committee, including matters related to a special general convention. “Every decision should be made by the Central Committee. Even a special convention must be concluded based on party regulations and legality, without reaching the verification stage,” he added.
