CPN-UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula has said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will not address the Parliament just because a few lawmakers demand it.

The opposition, including the CPN (Maoist Center), has been pressing the government for an explanation on the removal of Kulman Ghising from the Nepal Electricity Authority. In response, Bartaula dismissed the demand, saying that questioning the Prime Minister over an employee’s transfer is irrelevant and not a political issue.

He accused the opposition of intentionally disrupting the parliament and claimed that appointments and removals are government matters that do not require the Prime Minister’s response.

Today’s House of Representatives session, scheduled for 11 AM, was postponed to 2 PM due to opposition protests. However, it has yet to resume.
