In a major shakeup involving Nepal Police’s top brass, the government has transferred seven deputy inspector generals.

As per the new arrangements, Ishwar Karki will helm the Koshi province police office (Biratnagar), Uma Prasad Chaturvedi will helm the Madhesh province police office (Janakpur), Arun Paudel will be in charge of the Bagmati province police office (Hetaunda), Dinesh Kumar Acharya of the Gandaki province police office (Pokhara), Rajendra Prasad Bhatta of the Lumbini province police office (Tulsipur), while Dambar Bahadur and Govinda Thapaliya will take charge as the chiefs of the Sudurpaschim province police office (Dhangadhi) and the Central Investigation Bureau (Lazimpat), respectively.


Karki, Chaturvedi, Paudel, Acharya, Bhatta and Thapaliya were earlier posted at different departments at the Nepal Police Headquarters in Naxal whereas BK was with the the Cyber Bureau.
