Westerly Winds Bring Clouds and Fog Across Nepal

Westerly winds are currently affecting the weather across Nepal, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Because of this, the high hilly and mountainous areas in some provinces are seeing cloudy weather, while most other parts of the country remain mostly clear.

The Department said fog may appear in some areas of the Terai until noon today. The hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province are expected to remain generally cloudy, while similar areas in other provinces will be partly cloudy.

Most Terai areas will have clear weather. There is also a chance of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountains of Koshi Province.

Tonight, fog may continue in some parts of the Terai. Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces may see partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country is expected to remain mostly clear.
