Tension remains high in the Middle East as at least three people were killed in Israel’s southern city of Be’er Sheva after Iran fired a fresh round of missiles towards Israel.

According to Israeli media, the victims include a man and a woman, both around 40 years old, and a young man in his 20s. The sudden attack has left the local community in shock.

What makes the situation even more confusing is that this attack came just after former US President Donald Trump announced that Iran and Israel had agreed to end their 12-day-long war with a ceasefire.

While Iran has confirmed through its state television that it is ready to stop the fighting, Israel has not yet officially agreed to the ceasefire. Trump, posting on his Truth Social account, claimed that the ceasefire could start within six hours—but on the ground, violence continues.

Adding to the uncertainty, air raid sirens have been sounding again in northern Israel, showing that peace is still far from reality for people living in the region.
