Rojina Shrestha of RSP Secures Victory in Kathmandu-16 Ward Election

Rojina Shrestha of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected as the ward chairperson for Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, securing 2,902 votes out of the total 10,558 cast.

Her victory marks a notable political shift in the constituency, which had previously been won by the Nepali Congress in the 2079 BS election.

Her closest competitor, Devendra Pathak of the Nepali Congress, garnered 2,204 votes, narrowly ahead of Laxmi Ratna Tuladhar of the CPN-UML, who received 2,220 votes. Other candidates included Shyam Krishna Shrestha of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (774 votes) and Min Bahadur Manandhar of the CPN-Unified Socialist Party (1,082 votes).
