Rain, Lightning in Hills; Heatwave Alert in Terai

The Weather Forecasting Division has said that local winds are having an effect across the country, and temperatures are rising in many places.

Today’s weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Other areas will mostly have clear skies.

In the afternoon, clouds are expected to increase in these hilly regions. Some places in Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali may get light rain and lightning.

There is also a chance of snowfall in the high mountain areas of Gandaki and Karnali.

People living in hilly areas are advised to be careful of rain and lightning. Those in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim should be alert, given the possibility of heatwaves.
