NEPSE Dips 1.64 Points, Manufacturing Falls Most While Finance Gains

NEPSE on Wednesday decreased by 1.64 points and closed at 2,681.50 points. The market opened at 2,683.15 points and reached the day’s highest level of 2,702.90 points within the first half hour, but later started falling gradually. It hit the day’s lowest point of 2,671.03 points in the last 19 minutes before recovering by around 10 points to close. Six groups declined, with manufacturing and processing falling the most by 50.16 points, while finance rose the highest by 23.33 points. The sensitive index also dropped by 0.70 points. Total turnover decreased to Rs 7.49 billion from Rs 8.63 billion. Out of all companies, 113 gained and 134 declined, while Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company recorded the highest turnover of Rs 800.07 million. HLI Large Cap Fund fell the most by 5.54 percent, while Kalinchowk Darshan Limited, Super Mai Hydropower Limited, Super Madi Hydropower Limited and Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company increased by the highest of 10 percent.
