National Assembly Meeting Postponed After Condolence Motion for Deepak Bohora

Today’s meeting of the National Assembly (NA) got postponed after the passage of a condolence motion to honor the late Deepak Bohora, a former minister and member of the House of Representatives.

The motion from National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal was passed unanimously. Before the motion, members observed a minute's silence in memory of Bohora, who was a senior leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and represented Rupandehi constituency number 3 in the lower chamber of the bicameral parliament.

Born on March 31, 2051, Bohora passed away at the age of 74 on April 1, 2025. Chair Dahal also welcomed members to the first meeting of the 18th session of the NA and read out a letter from the President regarding the start of the session.

The next meeting of the NA is scheduled for 1:15 PM on Sunday.
