Israeli fighter jets carried out airstrikes in eastern and southern Lebanon, causing significant damage to residential areas. According to Lebanese security sources, 12 missiles were fired at the towns of Sohmor and Maghghara in the West Beqaa region.

Lebanon’s official national news agency reported that four buildings were completely destroyed, while nearby homes, vehicles, and commercial establishments were also damaged. Earlier, the Israeli military had warned residents living near Hezbollah targets to evacuate their homes.

Although a ceasefire agreement had been in place since November 27, Israel continues the attacks, citing the need to neutralize the Hezbollah threat.

Meanwhile, Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hasan reaffirmed Jordan’s steadfast support for Lebanon’s security and stability. During a meeting with President Joseph Aoun, he signed 21 bilateral agreements and discussed the two-state solution for Palestine as well as the necessity of a ceasefire in Gaza.
