Ganga Narayan Shrestha’s Team Merges with Maoist Centre

Leader Ganga Narayan Shrestha and his team from the Nepal Samajbadi Party (Nesapa) have officially joined the CPN (Maoist Center) led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

A special meeting on party unification was held in Lalitpur on Monday, where both sides signed a five-point agreement. According to the agreement, Ganga Narayan Shrestha will take the position of Central Secretary in the Maoist party. Other members from his team will also be given respectful organizational responsibilities.

The key points of the agreement are:

1. The party’s guiding principles will remain Marxism, Leninism and Maoism.

2. The political program will focus on a socialist revolution based on Nepal’s unique conditions.

3. Future strategies, including protests and political actions through streets, parliament  and government, will be discussed and decided through internal discussions and mutual understanding.

4. The party will operate under the principle of democratic centralism, allowing for freedom of thought and unity in action. Some ideological issues may be discussed until the next General Convention.

5. Ganga Narayan Shrestha has been given responsibility to help with the party unification process, and other members will be integrated into the organization accordingly.
