Deepak Raj Joshi Wins FSU Presidency at Tribhuvan University

Deepak Raj Joshi from the Nepal Students' Union (NSU) has been elected as the president of the Free Student Union (FSU) at Tribhuvan University Central Campus.

Joshi won with 789 votes, just 8 votes ahead of Siddhant Bhatt from the UML-affiliated ANNFSU, who received 781 votes.

The election took place on Monday using electronic voting machines, which made the result announcement quick.

The election had been delayed earlier due to a legal issue, but after the Patan High Court decided the delay was unnecessary, voting was held as planned.

Out of over 6,000 registered student voters, about half took part in the election.

Here are the final results:

NSU (Deepak Raj Joshi) – 789 votes

ANNFSU (Siddhant Bhatt) – 781 votes

ANNFSU-Revolutionary (Prabin Dahal) – 727 votes

Independent (Padma Bhusal) – 166 votes

Independent (Ujjwal Khadka) – 717 votes
