The CPN-UML, the second largest party in the Parliament leading the ruling coalition with the Nepali Congress, the largest party, is holding a crucial meeting at its central office in Chyasal at 2 pm on Sunday.
The central secretariat meeting of the party comes at a time when the ruling coalition seems to shaking a little bit amid charges of the leadership of the Ministry of Home Affairs taking a sizable cut from collections made at the Tribhuvan International Airport’s Immigration Office in the process of issuing visit visas by flouting relevant rules.
Talking with journalists at Biratnagar on Saturday, NC leader Shekhar Koirala had asked Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak to put in papers for facilitating a free and fair probe into the charges.
On his part, Minister Lekhak said at a program in Janakpurdham the same day that he had done no wrong.
