Corruption Case Filed Against Congress Leader Mohan Basnet and 16 Others

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has formally filed a corruption case against Mohan Basnet, a leader of the Nepali Congress and former minister, and 16 others at the Special Court in Kathmandu in connection with the infamous Teramocs scam. At present, Basnet is a member of the House of Representatives. The CIAA has demanded the court intervention for the recovery of around Rs 321 crores from them.
