The National Assembly (NA) is set to meet today at 12:15 PM at the Federal Parliament building in New Baneshwor.
One of the main items on the agenda is a special discussion on a proposal registered by lawmakers including Urmila Aryal and Kamala Pant. The proposal calls for stronger policies to ensure a safe, dignified, and quality life for senior citizens in Nepal.
In addition, Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka is expected to table a proposal to consider the "Water Resources Bill, 2081," which was recently passed by the House of Representatives.
Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak will also present a proposal to discuss the "Nepal Citizenship (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081," which also came from the House of Representatives with a message for further consideration.
The meeting is expected to cover issues of public importance, legal reforms, and social welfare.
