Our Wish for Peace Between India and Pak Was Granted: PM KOli

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said on Monday that Nepal’s wish for an immediate pause in recent hostilities between India and Pakistan has come to fruition. 

Addressing a function in Lumbini, the birthplace of the Shakyamuni Buddha and other enlightened beings like the sage Kapil, PM Oli said: We talked with both sides and requested them to curb the hostilities and avoid a war. We prayed for peace.

Thankfully, the hostilities did not take a nasty turn, PM Oli said, thanking the two parties to the conflict. 
Still, an exchange of allegations and counter-allegations is going on between the two sides, he said: Buddha’s messages of peace, love, non-violence and sympathy are relevant in every walk of life, even in this day and age.

Lumbini is the sacred land from where the message of peace has spread around the world, PM Oli said.
