Vehicular movement along the BP Highway has resumed this morning after being halted for the past three days due to landslides and flooding.
The highway had been blocked at several points along the Chaukidanda–Nepalthok section in Kavrepalanchowk following continuous rainfall since October 30.
According to Senior Divisional Engineer Suman Yogesh of the Division Road Office, Bhaktapur, traffic resumed after debris was cleared and a 50-meter road diversion was built at Roshi Rural Municipality-8. He said work had been challenging due to dry landslides, which made clearing efforts more difficult.
Authorities confirmed that all major obstructions have now been removed, allowing vehicles to move along the section once again.
